is indeed a momentous occasion for the school to see the vibrant AGDAVians
shining in true spirit in notable events and occasions and taking the name of
the institution to greater heights. Pablo
Picasso has aptly said that ?Action
is the fundamental key to success? and the students have proved it by
plunging into action and kept themselves abreast with the latest ideas of the
fast pacing world with their active participation. The past year has shown us
that even in the bleakest of times, optimism is the faith that leads to
achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
The
school tries to instil in each and every child?s mind a belief that achievement
is largely the product of steadily raising one?s levels of aspirations and
expectations. Saathvik Devarakonda, an
AGDAVian of 2020-21 Batch won a stupendous accomplishment by participating in
Model UN. Saathvik Devarakonda with his
sheer hard work and dedication participated, chaired and organised around 40
MUN conferences in the past three years. The institution under the able
guidance of Principal Mrs Mala Sood and Secondary Supervisor and Head of
Department of Political Science, Mrs Shyama Valecha left no stone unturned in
providing a great deal of mentorship and opportunities to students to showcase
their excellence in MUN . Saathvik Devarakonda received an invitation by the
Secretariat of DAV Public School, Ashok Vihar to be a part of the chairing Dias
for the school Model UN Conference. A glorious moment for the institution was when Saathvik Devarakonda has proved his
mettle by being appointed as the Assistant
Director of the United Nations Security Council at Harvard Model United Nations
2021,organised by Harvard University.
Saathvik
Devarakonda?s dedicated efforts have been truly outstanding and the school
conveys sincere congratulations on his hard earned success. Saathvik
Devarakonda?s achievement will surely be an inspiration to others and his
dedication to work is exemplary. He has indeed proved that good things come to
those who are willing to sacrifice to reach a worthwhile goal and has shown
that creativity and determination to do whatever one can dream. We hope that
this achievement acts as an incentive for the students to outperform themselves
in the future conferences.
The
students of Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School also gained appreciation
from the Principal of Queen Mary?s School for their contribution to the First
Virtual Fourth Edition of Queen Mary?s School, Northend ,Model United Nations
Conference 2020. The students of the institution have shown their enthusiasm
and insight by engaging themselves in fruitful, constructive and open exchanges
on global issues throughout the two days of the conferences held at Queen
Mary?s School and made the conference a grand success. Rishikesh Das of Class 12 also
won a Special Mention at Ved Vyas DAV MUN. The school feels great joy in
seeing enthusiastic participation of students in varied events and leaves no
scope in providing a platform where each and every student can get the maximum
exposure to showcase their talents.
Students
of Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School with their innovative ideas,
ingenuity and passion came forward to participate in various Inter School
Competitions held in the session 2020-21 on Virtual Platforms and won immense
recognition. Pratishtha Dinkar of Class 12 secured First Prize and Fourth
Prize in the event HERITAGE WITH A TWIST
and PERFECT HEALTH MELA organised by Itihaas respectively. Naitik Rathi of Class 6
bagged Second Prize in EXPRESSION 2021 organised by Mount Abu School and
Gauri Sharma of Class 11 won the
First Position in the Art Competition BOHEMIA organised by Darbari Lal DAV Model
School, Pitampura.
The
students of Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public School worked together and
embraced meaningful powerful change that came on their way and with their
constructive thoughts showed their brilliance of ideas at its best. The
achievements gained by the participants will surely encourage our young minds
to crave for excellence in all their endeavours.
